I have tried countless skincare procedures because of my profession as a beauty writer, and I have decent amount of knowledge on skincare field. And I usually try to have conversation with beauticians just to grasp an idea of their skills and professionalism.
The experience here was very satisfying. The Nigerian lady (sorry, I forgot her name!!) who did my microdermabration was very professional in terms of both knowledge and customer service. Plus, she gave me thorough extraction which wasn’t included in the treatment.
The spa looks more like a doctor’s office, nice and clean. Highly recommend this place!

I love this place! It has great staff! I bought a microdermabrasion from groupon. Simi treated my skin and she was amazing! She is very friendly and professional. My skin is so clean and smooth now. I cannot wait to be back for laser hair removal.

I have been meaning to write a review since December: I LOVE this place ! I was SO skeptical because of all of the terrible things I read and I am not sure why the (others) experiences were so bad. I have never had laser hair removal treatments before last December but I am now hooked. (I am treating my bikini area and underarms) Simi did an amazing job. I am so so baby smooth. I went back last week for my second treatment, not as smooth as the first time but still smooth enough and I am still a believer. Jay is great! I stayed and spoke with him for a little bit over half an hour after my treatment. He’s great! Good, genuine people. I highly recommend. I didn’t give them 5 stars because I am not done with all 6 treatments yet. but will keep you all posted!

I am a fan! Great, professional service. I didn’t feel like they were trying to con me into anything. In fact, I bought a more expensive package online, but after examining my skin, Simi recommended something cheaper, and adjusted my order without any hesitation (so now I get 4 treatments instead of 3). They’ve earned my trust!
Note: if you’re getting skin treatments, make SURE you don’t use anything aside from very gentle cleanser (without any active ingredients like salicylic acid), moisturizer and sun screen for about a week beforehand. Even something like witch hazel can be problematic and force them to reschedule your whole appointment.
If you’re having acne problems, do yourself a favor and book a peel NOW. Don’t let it get out of control like I did by bothering with OTC stuff. I’d be better off if I had just done this right away; now there is damage to undo.

Sami is very professional and caring! After checking my skin, she suggested me to have sensi peel instead, and I’m glad I did. This was my first peel, and I was so concern about the peeling and redness appeared on my skin after the treatment. So I called few times, and she answered questions that I had. I’ll go back to have my second peel soon. Can’t wait to see the huge improvement on my skin!
There’s some problem and misunderstanding during the appointment process, but overall I’m satisfied.

I received the three (3) microdermabrasion Groupon as a birthday gift. I scheduled my initial appointment for late July but it was rescheduled due to a last minute situation (on Pro Aesthetics’ part). The gentleman contacted me to let me know and was courteous in helping me get rescheduled.
I’m so glad I rescheduled because Simi is absolutely awesome. She is very professional, thorough, informative and I just can’t say enough nice things about her. Upon examining my skin, she recommended that I try the Salt-​Water Peel instead and I’m so glad I did. I noticed a difference even with the first treatment. Sure, my face was a bit red the first day (but I think that’s fairly normal for most facials) but over the next few days, I noticed a difference in my skin’s appearance. It was brighter and cleaner looking. Even when I put some powder on my face, I noticed that my skin took to the makeup a lot better.
When we were discussing the Salt-​Water Peel, Simi explained what it is (it’s gentler than a chemical peel and has a similar effect as a microdermabrasion with less roughness on the skin). She answered every single question I asked and explained the process as we went along.
I just had my second treatment this past weekend and can’t wait to go again for my next treatment.
Lastly, in one of the below reviews, I see that someone posted a review about being dissatisfied with not being explained about aftercare products. I’m not 100% sure but I believe I came in as this person was cashing out. I did not hear the entire conversation, but from what I gathered, it didn’t seem like the gentleman was giving her a hard time and it seemed like they were trying to best accommodate/​address her dissatisfaction (I believe she was indeed given a discount). It’s pretty common for aftercare products to be necessary after a chemical peel and a simple google search on chemical peels will point that fact out. I’ve never heard of a place (spa, skincare center, dermatologist’s office) handing out free aftercare products for procedures that were done. Unless it’s explicitly stated that products are included in the treatment price, it’s probably better to assume that it’s not.
Anyway, just wanted to address that because I think Simi is great and Pro Aesthetics is clean and has a professional atmosphere overall. Great job you guys!

Simi is a professional of exceptional skill, honesty and integrity. She is an instructor, and not just a student who passed the course. She really knows her stuff. Oh, and she’s a really nice and classy person, too!
To the person who complained about not getting a free aftercare product… Are you for real? The aftercare products are NEVER included in the price. It’s up to you. Have you ever gotten a chem peel before? SMH

Got a Groupon for a one-​time microdermabrasion. Went in for the appointment and it was more of a consultation. She recommended that I upgrade to a chemical peel. Although I was reluctant because it seemed like a tactic to make more money, she reaffirmed many things I was already concerned about. I had already considered a chemical peel before so I decided to try it. I was not charged for that appointment but was scheduled for the peel and told it would be an additional $ 20. I found it reasonable and understandable. Chemical peel appointment was quick but thorough. She explained every step and answered all of my question. Only problem I had was that she didn’t mention that there is a $ 20 product that is recommended (read: necessary) for post-​procedure care. I feel that it should’ve been mentioned when the upgrade was mentioned. I don’t want to say that they tried to «slip one on me» but it’s definitely borderline. I didn’t appreciate their lack of clarification and I left with a bit of a sour taste despite the otherwise great experience. The guy that checked me out, who seemed to be the owner, tried to make me feel guilty about requesting a discount on the product but I don’t care because I feel that I wasn’t well informed. The procedure was great, the facility is clean, organized and inviting, and the specialist was very kind but I would be wary of their tactics to push for other (more costly) procedures. Make sure to get clarification.

Awful experience. I bought a groupon and called to book an appointment. Whoever answered the phone gave me a really bad vibe. I filled out their digital forms beforehand and I am very concerned about the security of my information because… I showed up for my appointment and it appeared to be closed. I knocked, I called, I even called groupon. I gave it 15 minutes and tried again, but no one was there. Overall, a frustrating experience, an inconvenience, and I’m not going back. No one even called to apologize despite me leaving a polite voicemail. Save your money. A completely unprofessional establishment. Getting a refund from

Slimy is wonderful, sweet, & efficient. I bought groupon for 3 microdermabrasions. Have already gone 2x. She is quick, thorough, machine has good power/​suction (have done micro b4 but it felt dull compared to this one). Convenient location, rite by herald square. Clean neat office. Professional service. Easy to book & get appts. I recommend. Full prices for service seem avg.
